Who am I and What I do.

I have been a psychotherapist and clinical psychologist for adults and teenagers for four years. My clinical approach is rooted in the principles of Psychoanalysis. This method emphasizes the existence of the unconscious, which can be accessed through free speech from the patient, while the therapist actively listens and interprets before making informed interventions. As a result, psychoanalytic treatments often lead to deep, structural changes

I am fluent in both English and Portuguese, and I live in Brazil, where I offer in-person appointments. Over the past four years, I’ve worked with patients from various parts of the world, especially from the U.S., Canada, and Ireland.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

What's the first session like?

The first session, also known as the intake session, serves as an alignment between the psychologist and the patient. This session is essential for me to understand why you are seeking treatment and what you hope to achieve. It also allows me to assess whether your needs match my clinical and theoretical expertise. During this session, we also align expectations and discuss important details, such as fees, frequency, and scheduling, to ensure the treatment can begin and go the best way possible.

What's your specialty?

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults.

What kinds of appointments you offer?

I offer in person appointments in Brazil and on-line/virtual appointments so you can book one from anywhere.

How do the virtual appointments work?

In virtual sessions both psychotherapist and patient meet using an encrypted platform such as Google Meet, Skype or WhatsApp Video. For a better experience, I recommend you have private and quiet place, with a stable network and that you use headphones.
